What a character
In Les Misérables, Victor Hugo goes to great lengths to describe the character of M. Myriel. He uses both direct and indirect characterization to help the reader get to know M. Myriel. Here are some examples: He was told be be around 70 years old, so he was pretty old. He was also generous, he gave up his home and gave it to the people from the hospital. He was also very giving because he would donate livres to his community even though he would only have a small portion left. And he wouldn’t just help poor people, he would help rich people also. He was very trustworthy and trusted everyone because he would never lock the doors in his house.
