Triad of good,evil, justice

What I predicted that would have happened before we started reading was that Fantine was going to die before she saw Cosette, and Javert was going to take Jean Valjean to court. And somehow Jean Valjean was going to save the innocent man and Jean Valjean would go to jail.

Les mis isn’t funny

The reason Victor Hugo doesn’t use humor in Les Mis is simply because he doesn’t need it. Basically, he wants the tone to support the theme. I other words, he wants to make sure that you feel a certain way while reading to make it a better experience. Either way the book is still interesting if it includes humor or not.

Have to versus want to

Being able to agree to complete work for each other instead of being told what to do seems way more satisfying. That is because when we agree to do work together it helps me understand that what I'll be doing won't really be a problem. But when something is assigned, MAYBE not everyone will be in the same spot making some confused.

How you know what I know

Usually to show people what I learned about when reading (for example Les Mis), I would update my blog about a certain thing that happened in the book. Or I would I would write it in our group's google doc. That is mainly how I show people what I learned when reading, there are some other ways but not all of them show as much as when I write about it.

LES MIS 155-177

Not much was as important during these pages, except there was one part where it talks about how the newspaper said that the bishop had passed away. I wasn't expecting this at all and it surprised me very much because it all happened out of nowhere. It's kind of weird because for a good period of time I completely forgot about the bishop, since the whole time we were focusing on Cosette and her life.
