What Happens Next?

I think what makes a story compelling is the suspense, and I think many people agree with that too. Because a lot of the time if there's suspense then the story has a good plot, or it's just good overall. The characters play a big role in making a story compelling too, especially when you don't know what kind of character they are yet.
