Literature Analysis #2

1. First of all the book I am reading is Wonder by RJ Palacio. The plot has to do with a boy named August Pullman, his nickname is Auggie. August was born with a facial condition that made his life challenging to live. Because of the condition, he was homeschooled up until the 4th grade. Once he entered the 5th grade, he started to attend Beecher Prep. He was bullied by the kids at that school, but mainly by a boy named Julian Albans. He did end up making new friends though that helped him get through the bullying.

2. I would include the theme "don't judge a book by its cover" but I feel like it's very cliche. So my next choice would be courage. No matter what happened he was still able to stay positive and progress through the school years never giving up.

3. It isn't explained as much if he sleeps late or early, but i'm pretty sure it's early. He gets up and gets ready for school like any other kid would, breakfast before going to school. Most of the things read were about what he was thinking.

4. One would be that he makes friends with his bully at the end, another would be first-person narration because his thoughts were being explained by him. Some satire was used when Julien was being made fun of. There was a bit of foreshadowing throughout the book. And there were flashbacks when August was thinking about his past.
