The Socratic Method
After reviewing The Socratic Method and reading the dialogue a few things came to mind. It seems interesting to be able to change someone’s mind about their opinion just by asking them multiple questions. I’ve used this type of method in a way before in an argument, but of course it won’t always work either by the person not caring about what you say or them being so intitled to their opinion that they think what ever you say is wrong. Reading the dialogue made me understand that arguments don’t really consist of facts but more of an understanding on both parts. Just by using simple questions they will lose against themselves, and that’s what makes the method very interesting.
