my best writing
I have a writer's conference coming up with Dr. Preston, and I am excited to go over BQ THOUGHTS and ENDGAME. I chose these two pieces for specific reasons. I chose BQ thoughts because it when writing the blog post it helped me realize what big question I wanted to chose. It even made me want to learn more about that topic. I ended up choosing ENDGAME because I stuck to what I needed help on and I worked on it, it had to do with procrastination but now I have worked on it more.

Monkey see/hear/do
Well when it comes to my topic, it makes me think a lot. And many of the ideas that I come up with come from thinking. That’s how I end up being most interested in that topic. So maybe what I can do is ask or say something that could make people think about the topic also. I can show visuals that people probably haven’t seen before. Or sounds from space that would make them think more about space. (hopefully)

ESSAY DUE Jean Valjean
So far Jean Valjean has been one of the most important people that we have read about in the book Les Miserables. After reading more than 500 pages of this book I and the class have read more about Jean Valjean than any other character. This meaning we have seen all the things that have happened to him and how he handles different situations, this being said I want to describe how Jean Valjean is a dynamic character.
At the beginning we were introduced to Jean Valjean, he was said to be a criminal scum that nobody liked and tried to avoid. When Monseigneur Bienvenu, being the humble bishop he is, let Jean Valjean stay in his home when Jean didn't have a place to stay. Jean Valjean ended up stealing silverware from the bishop and ran away. Then there was a time where he stole a coin from a little kid called Petit Jarvis, he said nothing and just left with it. This showed how much he didn't care about people and didn't feel bad about stealing.
Later in the book Jean become mayor of his town, he became a better man and helps whoever he can. It was possible to become mayor because no one even knew him. There were times where he would break into people's homes, but not to steal, he would leave money for them. It happened so often where people would recognize that it was Jean Valjean that left the coins. He helped Fantine by letting her go when Javert arrested her and tried to put her in prison. There was a time where he gave someone a home/workspace and later on we find out that it helps Jean Valjean.
At this next point, Jean Valjean turned himself in because someone else was going to take responsibility for his crimes. But Jean Valjean made a promise before to Fantine that he would bring Cosette back. So he broke out of prison to go look for the people who had been keeping her. This is where he changes back to a criminal, but just because he's a bad guy doesn't mean he's a bad guy. He had to do what it takes to get back Cosette so he became a convict again. So far he's been hiding with Cosette from Javert until they have another plan. All throughout the book, we see him change but now I think he might stay the same.
So this leads me to think that Jean Valjean, in fact, is a dynamic character. He started out as a very bad person, doing the worst things. But then we see him turn into a good man doing his best. Later we see him do what it takes to stay out of prison, even if that means he has to break out of it.
